Forgetting the mind is the sādhana we must do. But how will you forget the mind? With the mind lodged in things of nature, of the world and of matter, how can one forget this mind? Forgetting the mind is in fact a very easy path. How? Without the resolve called the mind, we must keep contemplating the power of Buddhi. As we keep contemplating the power of Buddhi, the noblest feeling enters us. There are four kinds of knowledge in man. But in this age all there is, is nothing but bookish knowledge; it is merely a superficial knowledge. After that, general knowledge is needed. Only with this self-confidence called general knowledge do we gain right knowledge. Without this self-confidence, this knowledge leads onto the wrong path. Only after that comes discrimination knowledge. Within this very discrimination knowledge all today's devotees are deceived. They do discrimination in the way that suits them, for what they need. They do discrimination for their own aim, for their self-interest, for their own benefit. This is narrow discrimination. But we must do fundamental discrimination. We must do the discrimination that suits the world, society, me and everyone. That alone is the true broad mind, expansion love. All the discrimination one does for oneself is contraction love. So we must try to recognise the truth of love well. When we call anyone, we say hello, hello, hello. Is this love? No! Just because one says hello, this is not Prema. Within, it must be hollow. We must stand without any feelings, any thoughts, any desires. Only then will the influence of the mind not work in us at all. Though the Buddha strove for six years, at the very last he came to know just this.
