In plain words
At no time at all must we let go of Prema. Sometimes, in this worldly life, some bad traits, such as hatreds, jealousies, hardships, Ahaṅkāra and possessiveness, arise in us. Even the jealousy that has come, we must take only as Prema. Think of that too as Prema. Then there is no room at all for hatred. When does hatred come? Only when there are two persons does one come to hate the other. Only when there are two feelings does one grow jealous of the other. Do not keep two feelings. There may be two minds, but there must be only one feeling. Though there are many bulbs, the current is one. So the Ātma is one in all bodies. That is why ‘Ekaṃ sat viprā bahudhā vadanti’: it is one alone in everyone. Developing this feeling of the one Ātma and fostering the principle of Prema well, we must become embodiments of the divine Ātma. This itself is true sādhana. But instead we worship only little forms, give them all sorts of little names, settle on this form for this name and this form for that name, and so make even the form of God very narrow. All forms are God Himself. When we hold to this idea, gradually, in time, that feeling takes shape in us.
The bee builds itself a small nest. It brings a grub and places it inside. It closes all the openings in it. But it keeps just one opening and circles there, humming. Yet the grub placed inside knows nothing at all of the whole world. It pays heed only to the sound this bee makes. Hearing this sound, hearing and hearing, what happens in the end? The insect turns into a bee. In just the same way, you who are in human form, you who have constantly developed the feeling of God, will also turn into embodiments of God. ‘Brahmavid brahmaiva bhavati’: you yourselves will attain the form of Brahman. When you want to attain the Brahman principle, you must keep thinking of the feeling of Brahman alone.
