Passage 13

In plain words

Prahlāda loved God. Though he had him pushed off mountains, bitten by snakes and trampled by an elephant, he felt no pain at all! But telling Caṇḍa and Amarka to teach his son Prahlāda the worldly qualities called kāma, krodha, moha, mada and mātsarya, he instructed them.

He told them to teach a path opposed to this Bhakti. But however much the teachers taught, it did not enter his heart. What was the reason? That heart was full of the feeling of God within. The demon's son: O You who rest on the serpent, O breaker of demons, O great refuge in calamity... There are no tears in his own eyes. He is not shaking with fear. O king! What is this wonder? However he is tormented, he does not suffer in the least! No tears in his eyes. No fear or panic! He is full of the Name of Hari, and no other name at all.

Full Faith Is Itself the Cause of God's Grace

The wealth of Jñāna, the wealth of health, the wealth of Ānanda, the wealth of Śānti: all these come under wealth itself. So whatever kind of Śānti we want, God is ready. So we must grow our faith. Humanness without faith does not bear fruit. We must trust with full faith. Only when it is so does God bestow wealth of any kind at all.

I created something, gave it, and called it ‘medicine’. Because they have trust in that medicine. ‘That being so, why build all these hospitals? Can't one heal all illnesses in this way?
