In plain words
Those born from eggs they called aṇḍaja. Piṇḍaja means this: those that come forth from the womb are called piṇḍaja. These are of 21 lakh kinds. Svedajas. Those born from our swet number 21 lakh. Udbhijja means those born from the earth, 21 lakh. Those born from eggs, 21 lakh. Those born from sweat, 21 lakh. Those born from the womb, 21 lakh. The oneness of these four is itself the 84 lakh species of living beings.
Oneness Itself Is Life
The oneness out of all of them: that itself is the principle of life. There is the vast ocean. In the endless ocean, among endless waves, waves arise with many forms and names. No wave is the same as another. But these waves have no tie with one another; but for all of them the ocean alone is the foundation. The waves, though, take on various forms and names. In the same way these four, aṇḍaja, piṇḍaja, svedaja and udbhijja, the 84 lakh species of living beings, also emerge from the one ocean called Saccidānanda, and from it alone. All of them emerge from Saccidānanda alone. What does Saccidānanda mean? Sat: being, that which exists for ever. That which does not change. That which is not put together, that which exists unceasingly. That itself they called Sat. It exists for ever. Cit means nothing but the principle of perfect Jñāna. This perfect Jñāna is something that never changes. Nirguṇam, nirañjanam, sanātanam, niketanam: this itself is the true Cit. What we call Sat stands as the reflection of what we call Cit. Only through the oneness of these two does what we call Ānanda come forth. Sat is like sugar. Cit is like water joined with consciousness. This is Cit, this is Sat. Only when the two, Sat and Cit, are made one does it take on the form of Ānanda. When the two, this sugar and water, come together, it takes on a form called syrup. When Sat and Cit both come together, Ānanda comes forth.
Searching Where One Is: That Itself Is Madness
In all jīvas, in all living creatures, this Sat Cit Ānanda is present precisely as their svarūpa.
