In plain words
Every man must lead a sacred life in his acts, in his words, in his gestures and in his deeds. That itself they called the proper study of mankind to man. This mankind means heart, speech and work. It is the very oneness of these three. Whatever arises in the heart, that you must say in speech. What you have said in speech, that you must do with your hand. Today what is felt in the heart is one thing, what is said with the mouth is another, what is done with the hand is yet another.
Mind one thing, speech another, deeds another: such are the wicked; mind one, speech one, deeds one: such are the great souls.
You must all become great souls. A most exalted human birth has come to us. This birth is most sacred. They said, ‘Jantūnāṃ narajanma durlabhaṃ.’ Nothing else has the worth this human birth has. Nothing else has the glory human birth has. There is no other standing like that of human birth. Having taken up such a human birth, how futile we make it!
Ānanda Lies Only in Remembering God
Embodiments of Prema! Pour out your whole life in Prema alone. Live through Prema alone. Experience Ānanda. Share Ānanda. Experience Ānanda. We must attain the principle of Ānanda. At every moment we must be full of Ānanda alone. Once upon a time, it is said, a devotee prayed to God: "O God, You have 24 hours of time. But where do You find the leisure? So many people send in so many applications. One wanting that, one wanting this. They give You all their desires as applications. When do You look at all these? When do You answer? Where do You have the leisure? Within so short a time, how full of Ānanda You are! We get a headache by the time we read two letters. That You enjoy so much Ānanda while reading so many and answering so many: this itself is the root cause of divinity." That is: happiness is union with God. I do not claim that this is your Ānanda.
