In plain words
In every circumstance, praying to God is your duty. For how long? You must pray as long as there is the difference “I am the jīva, He is God.” When the oneness comes, ‘I myself am He, He Himself is I,’ you need not pray. Why is that? What we must send in is one thing. What we must send out is another. What must we send out, and what must we take in? We are unable to recognise this truth. Our breath is teaching us this truth. Look. So...ham.., So...ham... ‘Ham’ we let out; ‘so’ we take in. How many times do we take it in like this? How many times do we let it out? 21,600 times we take in and let out, in 24 hours. But whom are we taking in? So.... We are taking it in. So: that itself is Divinity. We are taking Divinity in. Ham: we must send Ahaṅkāra out. We must send this Ahaṅkāra out. We must take Divinity in. This itself is the chief principle of our life, the chief eye, the chief path. What we must take in is the power of God. That itself is the principle of our prāṇa. This is the prasāda of life. We must take in this breath that is called life. What must we take in, and what must we let out? We must send oxygen in. We must send carbon dioxide out. That is the very demoness in us. That is the very Ahaṅkāra in us. That is the very bad quality in us. We must send those bad qualities out. We must take this life-breath in. That itself is Divinity. Divinity means the life-breath. So they regard prāṇa itself as God. In the temple they perform what they call prāṇopāsana. We must keep the principle of prāṇa within. Today we are not doing that. We do not even inquire what we let out and what we take in. But if you do not let this carbon dioxide out, health is ruined. If you do not take oxygen in, your health is in danger. We must take Divinity in. We must send demonic nature out.
