In plain words
They all go off into arguments. Time is wasted. It is merely the influence of cleverness. It is a sign of Ajñāna. Do not enter into such arguing. Through argument, enmity grows. It increases enimity. What is needed today is divinity. What we need today is purity. What we need today is Ānanda. We must attain oneness, that one thing. Unity, purity, divinity: these three we must achieve.
The Inner Meaning of the Dasara Yajña
Embodiments of Prema! For these seven days the yajña has been going on. For what are we doing this yajña? For the welfare of the world alone: God's Name must spread everywhere. Where does the air go? It goes round the whole world. Look at a small example. In Delhi, at the radio station, a man is singing a song. How far away is Delhi? All of it comes in sound waves. If you tune the radio to the Delhi station, you hear it at once. Where did this come from? It came through these electric waves. The whole world is nothing but electric waves. The whole world is nothing but magnetic waves. The whole world is nothing but solar waves. All the power of the mantras we have chanted spreads through the whole world. All bad sounds die down. Good sounds are nourished. Because there are good sounds in the air, sacred feelings enter the air we breathe. For there is a mantra within. That mantra and this mantra join and become one. Our body is a yantra, the heart the tantra, the breath itself the mantra. This very thing is the mantra Soham, Soham. “That am I”: that is, I am God. What greater mantra do we need than this? There is no other mantra in the world greater than this.
