In plain words
Do not long for mere power of intellect. Make good use of the intellect you have; that is enough. Only then does Ānanda come. You must not fall into discontent. You must always be content, and nothing else. I keep saying from time to time: Where is happiness? Happiness is union with God. When you are joined with God, happy is yours. God is the very embodiment of Ānanda; but what kind of Ānanda?
Eternal Ānanda, giver of supreme happiness, the form of absolute Jñāna, beyond the pairs of opposites, like the sky, the goal of Tattvamasi and the rest, one, eternal, spotless, unmoving, the witness of every mind.
When such Ānanda is with God, why should you fear? What a misfortune it is to keep God, so full of Ānanda, far away!
The Sāī you have found, do not split Him into pieces; make Him wholly your own; He does not come for nothing: serve the feet of the Lord of Parti; fostering Bhakti and giving strength, He will bring you to Mukti, friends; learn all good sense, and work off your karma; do not trust the sweet words of others and bring ruin on yourselves.
Trust Conscience
Do not believe anyone's words. Trust conscience. Those who trust this conscience will surely enter consciousness. First of all, trust conscience. That itself is the Ātma as witness. One who trusts the Ātma never lacks anything of any kind. So foster faith in the Ātma, worship God, attain divinity itself, and show the whole world an ideal. That itself is the true essence of your studies.
However much you study, whatever way you live, the base man cannot give up his bad qualities; study, searching and searching, and it is only the noise of argument; he never gains full Jñāna. Why study and study and study, only to die? Study the learning that knows no death.
