Passage 17

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

All the mantras, every one of them, are its reflection, reaction, resound. This itself is the real mantra. That itself is the nature of divinity. They said, ‘Ahaṃ brahmāsmi.’ Remembering this sacred mantra, leading a sacred life, giving a sacred ideal, bring Śānti to the world, as in ‘Lokāssamastā sukhino bhavantu’. Inside the big railway carriage called society, the youth make a long journey. The others get off at the next station. The youth make the full journey. The youth, who have to make the full journey, must go into the world and make Śānti grow on every side. You must teach divinity well to every man. You must plant the feeling of God in any heart, however hard. You must plant that seed, the Name of God, in every heart. Only then will the whole world turn into heaven. If you want this heaven, where will it come from? Heaven, too, is right within us. Ānanda itself is heaven.

One's own joy itself is heaven, one's own sorrow itself is hell, they say.

All of you must gladly enter service and, very soon, protect the Śānti of the country. Do not think, ‘Bhārata alone is my country.’ The people of all countries are our own. There must be Śānti in the places where our brothers live. All are brothers and sisters. All countries must fare well. In that way, develop broad feelings.

Treasure or His Presence: Which Is Happiness?

Your feeling must become as broad as the ocean. Do not shrink into narrowness, saying, ‘Mine is a small heart.’ Believe like the broad ocean, and this whole world must attain Śānti and happiness. Everyone must remember God's Name. Everyone must embrace divinity. You must develop the good resolve to attain divinity. When you are like this, you will surely hear, see and enjoy Lokasamastā sukhinobhavantu.
