Passage 19

In plain words

Do not bring anything like this at all. I do not like any of these. I have told you what I like, have I not! That very thing is Prema. From now on do not bring these things. All this is ‘bhūr’, nothing but worldly things. I want ‘suvaḥ’. That itself is the principle of Jñāna. That itself is sacred Jñāna. From Jñāna alone comes Kaivalya. Earn that Jñāna. Experience that divinity. Attain that purity. Hand on divinity. For that, offering itself is most important. What that offering means is this: just as the food we eat joins our body, and our body and that food, the two, become one, in just that way make your Prema one with My Prema. Then the two become one and take the form called divinity. Unity in everything is most necessary. In the morning, when the paṇḍits were speaking, they said that unity is most necessary. They spoke about honey. For want of unity even the country is breaking into pieces. The bee brings it from all the flowers. The honey it has brought from many flowers it gathers at one flower. That itself turns into a cure for every disease. It brings the cure for this disease. Unity of minds is most necessary. Only when there is Unity does our heart turn into purity. Only when it has turned into this purity does it reach divinity. You must recognise well the bond of Unity, purity, divinity. The paṇḍits tell this, in this way, many times over. You do listen, but you are not putting even one or two into practice. It is enough if we put even one into practice.

Will all the darkness be done away with, look, by news of a lamp on the earth? Will a hungry man's hunger be eased by hearing the names of the five kinds of food? Will a pauper's poverty go just by hearing of the power of wealth? Will the many diseases of one stricken by disease go just by hearing all the wonders of medicine?
