Passage 16

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

It is artificial. Set a real rose there. At once the bees come and settle on it. Grapes: no ant, no mosquito will settle near plastic grapes. What is the reason? There is no juice.

Like a tree that bears no fruit, like a fruit that has no juice, what use is it to be born and to grow? You were born not knowing the fruit; if you do not know who you are, what is the fruit of being born? If you do not know yourself, how can the Jñāna of the tattva come about?

If you know who you are, you become one who knows everything. That is what you must know first of all. That itself is the holy maxim all these festivals teach. Evil qualities give only evil. Good qualities give only good, so you must develop holy qualities. You must contemplate the holy divinity. Only through that contemplation of God do all cares go away.
