In plain words
There is something that is its root support. Without knowing the root support, no scientist in this world can build any object at all. Now look. There is oxygen. There is hydrogen. Which scientist created these. This is the creation of God alone. God alone created all this light. God alone created the sun, the moon and the rest. God alone created this air. God alone created water and space. All these are given free. For these God does not take away a single coin, not in the least. But the objects we have built up by means of these, we have to buy. This is a glass; what kind of glass? This is a silver glass. Someone made the glass, but nobody made the silver; someone made the plate, but the silver that is in this plate. It is only the element that is the support. All the children will understand this well. They go into the laboratory. When they go into the laboratory they take oxygen. They take hydrogen, and they put the two together. They make it into water. He thinks, ‘I made water.’ Your face, indeed! What are you, to make water? You only combined the hydrogen and oxygen that are there as the root support; you did not make water. You are making only this thing that rests on the support. Where is the support? In just the same way, the support of everything is the principle of the Ātma alone. There are only two, two alone, that appear to us in this world. The seen. The seer. The oneness of these two is itself the fruit of sādhana. Whether the seen merges in the seer or the seer merges in the seen, it is one and the same. What is the reason? What appears as two is only one! Here is a seed. This seed has two halves. Only when these two halves are together does it come up as a plant when it is put in the earth. Separate these two halves. Put it in the earth: no plant comes up. In the same way, only when the negative and the positive both come together do we get light. But is it the negative or the positive that matters? Only because the positive is there do we, by our own effort, create the negative. If there were no current, who would create these bulbs. If there were no current, who would create these fans. If there were no current, who would create these mikes; and so. The support of everything is the current.
