In plain words
Embodiments of Prema! Develop your Prema, keep society in mind, and make your parents happy. Experience this kind of Ānanda yourselves too. Today you may be a son. A little while on, you may become a father. Today you may be a daughter. In some years you may become a mother. When you are a mother, how much it will hurt you if your son does not love you! So, first of all, you must keep the present (present) in view. Because the future is not in your hands. It is yet to come. And what has gone by will not come back. Do not grieve over what has gone by. Do not wait for what is to come. Enjoy what is here with Ānanda. This is omni present. Today the present is a seed. In the future this same seed will become a tree. The tree that was in the past has given the seed today. So the two, past and future, rest upon the present alone. So look after the present carefully, and be happy, letting no faults come into the present and causing no pain to others. Make your parents happy. They said, blessed is he who goes his way without hurting others and without being hurt himself. You must not hurt anyone in any way.
If you search out one fault in others, others will search out a hundred faults in you
"Others are not others; they are the Paramātma": you must not revile anyone. You must not look for faults in others at all. If you search out one fault in others, others will search out a hundred faults in you. So you must not look for faults in anyone. You must not revile anyone. Love everyone. Trust everyone. Pray to your parents, worship them, love them. That itself is the true wealth of your life. Do not fret that you want wealth. Your parents' blessing itself is your wealth. That itself is your health; that health and wealth are gained through your parents' blessing. Puṇḍarīka was a devotee of Pāṇḍuraṅga. He was always serving his parents. One day, since his parents were not in good health, he stayed right there at home and was serving them.
