Passage 3

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

So magnetism takes many forms in every man. This is what Vedānta called ‘Ramayatīti iti Rāmaḥ’: what gives delight is the Rāma principle. So, wherever you look in the world, the power of attraction is boundless. Now, the divine power that lies between the things we see and the things we do not see is this very magnetism. This is what the Vedāntins have been calling the power of divine attraction. But the people of science, since it is a transcendent power, called it psychotonic and biocosmic. They give many names to such a sacred, divine power and experience it. The Vedāntins experience it in many forms. The Vedāntins have held that what lies between the two, the inward-turned divinity and the outward-turned principle of Prakṛti, is divinity itself. The scientists called it ‘super power’. The names differ, but the divine power is one.

Every Atom, Every Cell in the Body Is Filled with Divinity

In this created world there are things full of many wonders and marvels. In the human body alone there are any number of powers that go unnoticed. These are what they called transcendent powers, unknown powers. But not everyone can understand this. Many people think that man has no transcendent powers. That is quite wrong. In every substance there is this kind of magnetism. In every living being there is this divine power. That is why I address you as ‘Embodiments of the divine Ātma’. Every atom, every cell in the body is filled with divinity. No doctor is able to carry out proper research and examination of this. Take one small matter. In the tongue there are forty thousand taste buds. In the tongue alone there are forty thousand buds that know taste: how wonderful that is! In a single tongue there are twenty-five thousand that produce heat. We have our eyes. To look at, they measure only an inch. But in this eye there are thirteen crore rays of light. Can anyone believe that in one small eye there are thirteen crore rays of light? Who created this?
