Passage 28

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

It is not to say ‘Hello, Sāīrām’ mechanically. Happy mood, happy talk: you must talk with a smile. And the smiles must not be film smiles. You must smile from the heart. past is past. Forget the past. Do not worry about the future. Present is very important. This is omni present. All must say hello. Develop this unity. How much strength there is in unity! If you split apart, there is no strength at all. It only amounts to spoiling things for yourselves. Above all, if you live with Prema, unity of any measure comes about. For three days you have been holding discussions, with arguments and counter-arguments of many kinds. Today drive all those faults away completely. Be clean, like a pearl washed well. Be happy. Go back joyfully. This is one big workshop. You have come in these cars called bodies. The nuts, bolts and springs in them have all gone bad. You have come here. When you get them set right in this workshop and go, you must also get a fresh coat of paint and go. The moment you go back to your countries, others too, seeing the way you speak, ‘Ah! How much they have changed after going to Puṭṭaparti!’: others too must praise you so. You must give others that wonder. You must give that Ānanda to the world. You must attain that ideal. So, by saying too much, I may be causing a lot of confusion. I speak with Prema. You must become good. You must make others good. I bring My discourse to a close. Again, there is a cultural program there. There is still three-quarters of an hour. Come there nicely.
