There is no self confidence. There is no self satisfaction. Then what is the use of earning in this way? Money, money. There is no shortage of money at all. But the intelligence and the strength to put it to good use have dwindled. So today, whether in the market or in the banks, the shortage has grown great. Many people are giving money by way of tax. The government must see that it is not allowed to go to places outside. If it stays in our own country, it goes nowhere; it stays in our country itself. But today people are putting the money they have gained and earned in foreign countries. The money put in these foreign countries is of no use to them, and the country has no happiness from it. So there is no shortage of money at all. Misusing it has grown great. Through that misuse the country today is falling into sorrows. So you must put every coin to good use. Elders and teachers must teach students this way of putting money to good use.
Today the value of the dollar has gone up. The value of the pound has gone up. The value of the rupee has gone down. What is the reason for its going up? If you really look, there is no room at all for the value of the rupee to go down. The mind of the man of today has become so weak. Strength of mind has gone down. I shall give you a small example. Elections took place just recently. In these elections one party won. The party in government was defeated. Losing and winning are quite ordinary. Victory and defeat keep happening as a matter of course. But the moment the government changed, the value of the rupee went down. The reason for this is just that weak feelings are growing in man. How can the value of the rupee go down with one party's victory and another party's defeat? There is no room for money to change merely because men change, merely because parties change. This is nothing but man's speculation. The people of today are developing fancies and weaknesses in this way. Money does not depend on one man. It is because man has weakened his mind in this way that there was room for the value of money to go down. Man must step forward with courage and daring. Life is a challenge, meet it.
