In plain words

Once you have held a job as I did and retired, you will have all the time you want. Remember God then,” they are saying. This is very wrong. “Start Early, Drive Slowly, Reach Safely,” it is said. You must think of God from your very earliest years. Only then will God come to mind in old age. So begin to think of God from your very tender years. This is the Golden age, a most sacred age. You must not misuse it.

Prahlāda's Example

Young men! Yours is a most sacred age. If you repeat the Gāyatrī mantra wholeheartedly, there will be no suffering of any kind in the country, and no hardship of any kind will befall you. So think of God without ceasing. Prahlāda is your very own brother! He was a lover of Hari, and his father, Hiraṇyakaśipu, a hater of Hari. He tried his utmost to change Prahlāda's mind. Prahlāda would listen to everything his father said, smiling to himself. But he did not change his ways. Hiraṇyakaśipu tried to have Prahlāda trampled by elephants and bitten by cobras. He had him pushed down from mountain peaks and thrown into the seas. But because Prahlāda remembered Nārāyaṇa with all his heart, even the elephants and the cobras turned into Nārāyaṇa. Even as he was falling into the sea, Prahlāda remembered ‘Nārāyaṇa, Nārāyaṇa’, and so Nārāyaṇa Himself came out of the sea and saved him. In the same way, when you fill your heart with the feeling of God, wherever you are, God's protection will be with you. But you must remember God with Prema and with unshaken faith. Some people now and then get angry even with God. Anger is not good. Lust, anger and greed are the gates of hell. Do you know what kind of man Rāvaṇa was? A man of great power, and of great learning. But because he gave in to lust alone, he burned to ashes his own children and his kingdom as well. In the same way, Hiraṇyakaśipu through anger and Duryodhana through greed were utterly destroyed.
