You must teach them with fitting care. Only then will the children learn eagerly. If you do sums on the board and show them, the children learn. You can teach physics and chemistry through books and through experiments. But human values are not things taught through books or through experiments. When the drill master teaches drill, he says “One, two, three …” and does it himself to show them, doesn't he! In the same way you must practise human values yourselves and show them to the children. Only then will the children follow you and progress without limit. The country too will be improved. Not the country alone. The whole world will be improved. Truly, children today have no chance to learn, precisely because there is no one to tell them and no one to give them an example.
Embodiments of Prema! You may be very rich and very learned. But when I see your riches and your learning, I do not admire you for them. How far you are making good use of them: that is what I look at. I want only Quality, not quantity. Learning and wealth that are of no help to society: however much of them there is, what is the use? Only when you make good use of your learning will you become truly learned; only when you make good use of your wealth will you become truly rich. Only when there is Prema in you will everyone love you. Prema is in Me in its fullness; that is exactly why so many people have come here. Prema alone draws everyone here.
You Are Mine, I Am Yours
Embodiments of Prema! You have come here from many countries, spending a great deal of money. Since you have spent so much and come from so far, take some good from here, however little. Only what has the power to burn becomes fire; what lacks it stays mere charcoal. In the same way, only when you foster the principle of Prema do you become human beings. If you have any doubts, ask; I will clear them easily. I am always ready. Make use of Me. If you make use of Me, great good will come to you.
