In plain words
Without Prema, it is no humanness at all. Begin your daily round with Prema, fill it with Prema and bring it to a close with Prema. This is the very royal road to divinity! That doctor showed such Prema plainly, in practice. None of you noticed it, but I noticed. In this world many doctors with grand degrees advertise themselves grandly and scramble for name and fame. But our doctors labour for service and nothing else; they do not advertise themselves, nor do they seek name and fame. Only because it has such doctors, embodiments of sacrifice, has this hospital earned so great a name.
The foundation stone for a new General Hospital building
I noticed that this hospital has very little space. This hospital has taken up the whole of the five acres here. Not one inch is empty. There are four operation theatres here. That is why, before coming here just now, I laid the foundation stone for a new General Hospital building. The Chief Minister of Karnataka came too. Our Adikesavulu gave ten acres of land there. Usually I do not go to lay foundation stones; I do not like setting down a few stones and coming away. The opening is what matters most to me. So I fixed in advance the date of this hospital's opening as well. “Sir! This date is not what matters. The date it opens is what matters to me. It must be opened on 23 November,” I said. If we have the General Hospital built there, what will become of this hospital? It was a small seed at the start and has now grown into a great tree. It will grow still more. It will go on growing. What I intend is this: to turn this hospital into a centre for the health of mothers and children, and to develop a General Hospital there with every facility. It is on the welfare of mothers and children that the whole world rests.
Those not blessed with a mother's gaze cannot be blessed with God's gaze
Only children blessed with a mother's love can be worthy of God's grace. You know this: Gāndhārī, the lawful wife of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, bound her own eyes with a cloth too, because her husband was blind.
