In plain words
As far as we can, we must help everyone. My hand is always helping others.
But those who cannot bear this, the envious, weave stories of many kinds and spread false reports. I take no notice of such propaganda; only My own conduct matters to Me. I bear no hatred and no dislike towards anyone. When one looks on this whole universe as one family, where is there any room left for hatred? I love everyone. Whatever anyone may invent, My truth does not change. I have already told you what wealth I have with Me. Prema alone is My wealth. Sacrifice alone is My enjoyment. There is no other joy for Me greater than this. That is why I have carried on so many works for so long. No one knows about Me. For My works there is no such thing as failure; there is always success. When what we do is a good work, we need not worry about anything. A good work will surely succeed.
When one sets out to sacrifice, money comes of its own accord
The super speciality hospital built in Bangalore costs 3 crores a month. We are bringing the medicines and valves needed there from America. The hospital in our Prasanthi Nilayam costs 2 crores a month. We do not expect a naya paisa from the government. Nor do they give any. We have our educational institutions at Prasanthi Nilayam, Anantapur, Bangalore, Rajahmundry and Muddenahalli. All of these together cost one crore rupees a month. All of it put together costs 6 crores a month in all. Where does so much money come from? Yet we are giving it. Without asking the government, we ourselves must bear the responsibility for these as far as we can.
300 crores for the Bangalore hospital, 200 crores for the Prasanthi Nilayam hospital, 100 crores for our educational institutions: if 600 crores of rupees in all were put in the bank as a fixed deposit, then with the interest it earns every month our educational and medical institutions could be run comfortably without any difficulty; so I thought. There are so many people here, but I ask nobody for anything.
