In plain words

That is your God. You must not ever lose self-respect. Live with self-confidence,” she taught him. The words his mother spoke took root in his tender heart. From then on Lincoln faced every hardship that came in his life boldly, with self-confidence and self-respect. He passed all his examinations well. Seeing the good qualities in Lincoln, his friends urged him to contest the elections. For a moment Lincoln: “Where am I? And where is that parliament? Will I get a seat there? Can I even enter that hall?” he doubted. The very next moment he pushed that thought far away. “My mother taught me to develop self-confidence. So I will stand firm in self-confidence and fight in the elections,” he resolved. From then on he fought with firm self-confidence, and in the end he became President of the country of America. What made the poor Lincoln President of America? Self-confidence alone. One who lacks self-confidence, whatever position he may hold, will in the end slide down.

“My life is My message”

Students! Without self-confidence, Ānanda is not gained. So go through life with self-confidence. You yourselves are God. There is no divinity higher than your Ātma. Love all beings with self-confidence. See that there are no haters at all. Whoever may hate you, you, for your part, do not hate anyone. “My life is My message.”

Follow Me. Whoever reviles Me, whoever criticises Me, I hate no one and criticise no one. When you follow such an ideal, you too will attain a nature equal to Sai Baba's. If such fame has come to Me today, what is the reason for it? My principle of Prema itself is its chief reason. This is My real property. So you too share this principle of Prema, develop self-confidence, and give the world an ideal. I do not intend to say much to you today. Live in well-being yourselves, and go on wishing for the welfare not only of the country of Bhārata but of all countries.
