In plain words
But do not speak harsh words. You cannot always oblige, but you can speak always obligingly.
As Prema grows, Ānanda increases
All of you are embodiments of Prema. That Prema itself is God. What has no waves cannot be an ocean. What has no rays cannot be the sun. In the same way, one without Prema cannot be called a man. So if you are to nurture humanness, you must make Prema grow and cut away evil feelings. Today, as learning grows, Prema in man is draining away; hatred is growing. Increasing differences and forgetting what is real, he falls into ruin. Forgetting humanness, he is turning into a beast. What, really, does spirituality mean? Spirituality is nothing but killing animality and turning humanness into divinity. Unless man kills the animality within him, he cannot attain divinity.
Narrow love alone is turning man into a beast. Such a one never attains Ānanda. We must make the heart broad. As we make Prema grow, Ānanda grows. Embodiments of Prema! Above all you must recognise this: God is the embodiment of Prema. Man too is the embodiment of Prema. That is why it has been said, “God in human form.” There is divinity in animals too. That is why the word “Ambā” comes from their mouths. There is divinity in every living being.

Once in his childhood Jesus went with his parents to see a festival being held in Jerusalem. A great many people had gathered there. When Jesus, who had been with her until then, suddenly could not be seen, his mother Mary grew very anxious. Until evening the parents went on searching for Jesus. At last Jesus was found sitting in a temple, listening with keen interest to the spiritual teaching a priest was giving.
