In plain words
In Bhārata there is no one who has not heard the story of Rāma. Though some thousands of years have passed, the Rāmāyaṇa still shines today, ever new. For those who remember the Name of Rāma without ceasing and behold the form of Rāma, there is no rebirth. Vālmīki, the great ṛṣi, described the power of Rāma and the divine power of the Name of Rāma most gloriously. (In His own naturally sweet voice He sang the following song and had the devotees sing it)
Rāma, Rāma of the Kodaṇḍa bow; Rāma, Rāma crowned king; Rāma, Rāma the bridegroom; O Rāghava.... Rāma, a word to You; Rāma, a bundle for me; Rāma, Your song is the only song; Rāma, Your path is the only path; Rāma, who is Your equal? Rāma, look with the corner of Your eye; Rāma, I am Yours; Rāma, speak with me; The Name of Rāma is best; the thought of Rāma is enough...
(Then, continuing His divine message, He said:)
Embodiments of Prema! There is no nectar greater than the Name of Rāma. But today people have forgotten the thought of the Name and keep the names of films in mind. It is because of this that the country too has come to such a pass. Highly educated people, scientists and intellectuals are ashamed even to put on vibhūti. They put it on at home, but the moment they step outside they wipe it off. Today this has become a ‘fashion’. Whatever anyone may think, we need not be afraid. Why be afraid to utter the Name of God? Proclaim the Name of God in every street and every quarter. The Name of Rāma, or the Name of Kṛṣṇa, or the Name of Śiva... Whichever Name you love, remember that Name. It is because the remembrance of God's Name has dwindled today that troubles are arising in every home, and quarrels are starting even between brothers. Because purity is lacking in the heart, impurity is entering from outside.
