In plain words
They must develop self-confidence. Where there is faith, there is Prema. Where there is Prema, there is Satya. Where there is Satya, there is Śānti. Where there is Śānti, there is Ānanda. Where there is Ānanda, there is God. So self-confidence is most important. One who has no faith cannot attain God. Your faith is your God. So see that your faith does not waver. Only one who has self-confidence and self-respect attains the Ānanda of the Ātma and the vision of the Ātma. All of you are sitting here in this very large hall. Many pillars are seen in this hall. Its beauty gives you great joy. What is the support of all this? Surely it is the foundation! In the same way, Self-confidence is like the foundation of the mansion of your life. Self-satisfaction: Walls. Self-sacrifice: Roof. Self-realisation: Life. So, first of all, you must make secure the foundation called self-confidence.
The culture of Bhārata teaches, “Speak the truth; walk in Dharma.” But it is not the culture of Bhārata alone; the cultures of all countries teach this same truth. This whole world is one house. Each country is like a room. Do not make divisions, saying, ‘This country is one thing, that country another.’ This very division is ruining humanness. Above all, you who are devotees of Sai must never give room to any differences. All must become one. There may be differences of name and form, but all human beings are one family.
The colours of the cattle differ, but the milk is one; living creatures are many, but the life in them is one; castes and codes differ, but birth is one; the colours of the flowers differ, but the worship is one; the schools of thought are many, but God is one.
