In plain words

Free of the body's delusion, free of the brooding of attachment, yogīs of the first rank, whose very nature is sacrifice: such were the gurus then, and such are the gurus now. This is the true word, Sai's word.

Divinity is seen in every atom and every particle of creation

God pervades every atom and every particle too; He shines there, awakens them and sets them moving. The Upaniṣads too have been declaring that God is the One who pervades everywhere, moves everywhere and is seen everywhere. Today people make no effort to recognise those words of the great sages. While the Upaniṣads teach so simply the principle of the Paramātma that moves in every particle, why the man of today makes no effort to recognise it is a great wonder. Many kinds of opportunity, too, keep coming to us to recognise this divinity. The sweetness in sugarcane, the heat in chilli: by whose power did these come about? Only so that we may recognise divinity, God, as dear as life itself, has settled in each substance with a quality of its own. The bitterness in neem, the scent in a flower: what power is this? The principle of God, though no bigger than an atom, is made manifest in every atom, in every particle, as the form of a quality. Not only this. Many signs appear to us by which to recognise divinity. How does the fragrance in a flower come to be recognised? We justify it as the natural quality of the flower. But where did that natural property come from? When we see lofty mountains, joy wells up.
