In plain words
Those taken up with worldly negative feelings, if they do not weigh good and bad, ruin their very lives. That is why I have to tell you a few things today. To Me all are good; no one is bad. All are dear to Me. I love all. Give no room to meaningless doubts. They lead to danger. Until you root out your doubts, they will keep you in unrest in many ways. So foster Prema. When you fill your heart with Prema, all things appear to you as full of Prema. Where there is Prema, there is no hatred at all. When there is no hatred, anger does not arise at all. When there is no anger, people do not resort to violence. Where there is faith, there is Prema. Where there is Prema, there is Satya. Where there is Satya, there is Śānti. Where there is Śānti, there is Ānanda. Where there is Ānanda, there is God. So, first of all, foster faith. One thing in the mind, another in speech, yet another in action … this may well be called demonic. Only one who has purity of thought, word and deed is a true person. Only one who makes manifest the divine power within him is a true person.
Dear students! Above all, develop Prema. What did Caitanya pray for? “Kṛṣṇa! I do not want Your svarga, Kailāsa or Vaikuṇṭha. Give me a place in Your kingdom of Prema. That alone is enough for me,” he said. Nothing in this world lies beyond the reach of Prema. If only there is Prema, everything is attained. The slaying of Narakāsura is precisely the destruction of the bad qualities and bad ways in man. After that you must foster good qualities and good ways. “Tyaja durjanasaṃsargam”. But it is not enough that you give up the company of the wicked. “Bhaja sādhusamāgamam”. You must join the company of the good. “Kuru puṇyam ahorātram”: at all times you must do good deeds. Human birth has come for this very purpose. You were born as human beings not to eat and roam like cattle, birds and beasts. Man is most noble and pure. So evil thoughts must not arise in man. You must keep demonic deeds far away.
