In plain words
There is no one on earth who knows everything; there is no one who knows nothing at all; one who knows a little stays a knower of little; the one who knows all is Sāmbaśiva alone!
Embodiments of Prema! The message of Śivarātri is to hold up an ideal to every family! Today unity has grown thin in the family of the world. Even in a small family of only two members, many problems are cropping up. The family matters greatly to the world. Only when the family is in good order does the world run in good order. If unity declines in the family, the world has to fall prey to many troubles. Unity is the strength of life. So man must achieve unity and foster harmony with others. In this, the family of Īśvara stands as an ideal for the family of the world. Only when he takes Īśvara's family as his ideal can man enjoy peace and security in his life.
The members of Īśvara's family are just four: Pārvatī, Īśvara, Gaṇapati and Subrahmaṇya. These four together hold up a great ideal to the world. Between one and another of them there are no problems of any kind and no differences of opinion whatever. The four, joined together and of one mind, have been ruling the world. Looked at outwardly, we should take even the animals they ride as our ideal.
