In plain words
Embodiments of Prema! Every human being longs to put worry far from him and to gain happiness. If you are to put worry far away, if you are to rise from humanness to divinity, satsaṅga is most necessary. The birth of a human being who never enters satsaṅga is futile. What does satsaṅga mean? You think that satsaṅga is to join good devotees and experience Ānanda. No, no. ‘Sat’ means the principle that does not change in any of the three times. Thoughts bound up with such divinity must keep rising in man without a break. Why, after all, was man born? Not merely to enjoy the pleasures of the world. “Paropakārārtham idaṃ śarīram.” This body came into being only to do good to others. So, as long as he lives, man must use his body in the service of society and go on bringing happiness and gladness to society. For this God has furnished the human body with every power it needs.
Man is not made of clay; he is made of Consciousness
The human body is bound by the senses. Good or bad, it comes only through the senses. So, first of all, you must set the senses on the good path. This is just what Kṛṣṇa taught Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gītā! Control of the senses is man's chief duty. One without control of the senses is lower than a beast. Even beasts restrain their senses on some occasions. But what is the use if one born a human being, with Vijñāna, Sujñāna and Prajñāna, cannot restrain his senses? The six inner foes are the traits of beasts. By feeding such beastly traits, man is turning into a beast himself.
