In plain words

So we must give bad resolves no room at all. We must foster divine feelings. We must nourish a sweet mind. Only then will your life be a sweet life. Embodiments of Prema! You sing bhajans. For whom? You think you are singing them for God. But God needs nothing. The bhajans you sing give Ānanda to you yourselves; they share Ānanda with many others. God is the embodiment of Ānanda. When He Himself is ever full of Ānanda, why would He need some other Ānanda? Why would the embodiment of Ānanda need an Ānanda that is made up? By singing bhajans and doing pūjās, your heart becomes pure. Worshipping God is not for God's Ānanda; it is for your own Ānanda.

Embodiments of the divine Ātma! It is enough if man lives as a man. Within man himself lies the divinity of Mādhava. But man today lives as a demon. From his feet to his head, all are nothing but wicked traits! How can such a one gain Ānanda? Make your heart pure, experience Ānanda, and share Ānanda also with those who come to you for shelter. At times bad qualities such as anger, resentment, jealousy and envy may arise in you. All these are like passing clouds. Do not give in to them. Follow the eternally true feelings that arise in your heart. Many people do the Viṣṇu Sahasranāma arcana and the Lalitā Sahasranāma arcana. However many thousands of names they recite, no change is seen in them. You must keep the essence of those thousand names in your heart. Truly, the sacred feeling is in man's own heart. Enquire well how sacred, how meaningful, how sweet human birth is. Join satsaṅga. ‘Satsaṅgatve nissaṅgatvaṃ’: you think satsaṅga means keeping company with those who do good deeds. No, no. ‘Sat’ means what does not change in the three times, what is full of Cidānanda. To form a bond with that ‘Sat’ is true satsaṅga.
