Passage 8

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Such is the greatness of the Veda. The Veda rests on authority. All knowledge has come forth from the Veda itself! That is why they called it ‘the wealth of all knowledge’. How much of such a wealth of all knowledge we are wasting! However much you have learnt, recite that much without fail. Do not try to forget it. Only then will a fitting realisation surely come to you. How did it come to Mārkaṇḍeya? Only because he forgot himself, remembering and remembering the five-letter mantra, did Īśvara, who is the form of the five elements, appear before him. So those who wish to attain the vision of God must digest the Veda and pass it on to others. Only when you do so does the learning you have gained bear fruit.
