Passage 14

In plain words

He is torturing him very harshly. He is a little boy; he cannot bear it. He is suffering a great deal. Take him to Puttaparthi at once,’ she pleaded. Well, they brought Me to Puttaparthi. From the day My head was shaved like that until today, neither scissors nor razor has been put to this head. I have not had My hair cut. Everyone thinks, ‘Swami must be having His hair cut nicely.’ Never. I have just let it grow like that. With hair like this I have passed seventy-eight years so far. The birthday now coming is the seventy-ninth. To this day My teeth are firm. My sight is good. In the past, when I walked on these legs, the children could not keep pace with Me and had to run. Even now I walk. But there is one rule the doctors have laid down. Because when I fell they operated on My hip bone. They put an iron rod in it and stitched it up. So I may not walk fast. All the same, I do all My work well Myself. I have not given up a single thing. I give interviews to those who come. I give them what is to be given. I keep on going about. There is no hindrance at all. If I set out to tell all of this, there is a great deal more. Today is Durgāṣṭamī. In this way I have been taking care of the body in every way. Tomorrow and the day after are Navamī and Daśamī. Tomorrow I have to go to the priests. After telling them what is to be told, I will come to you next. I have said it many times, have I not: what is My property? My property is My children! It is the students who are My property. When they are all happy, I am happy beyond measure. (After Swami's divine discourse there was bhajan. After the bhajan) However long it may be, this remembrance of the Name: never give it up.
