Passage 7

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Do not cry, little babe, do not cry, my dear! If you cry, they won't call you a hero of Bhārata... hush... hush Is it because Hitler the killer, upon deathless Russia, has come marching in war, that you cried in fright?... hush... hush To kill Hitler there's the Red Army, and Stalin the hero; do not cry... hush... hush Why else, my little one, do you cry so? Did you cry, saying the people have no unity? United, all the people will join and fight, and they can win freedom; do not cry... hush... hush

The mothers of those days taught children love of country and Bhakti for God from childhood itself, and shaped them into models for others. In their words there was no room for untruth. By words of truth they set their children on the path of Satya. Today in Bhārata such sacred teachings have stopped. Though the mothers of those days were simple folk who knew nothing, though they could not read or write, they never gave up prayer to God. Only because the women of Bhārata have prayed to God since ancient times could the country reach the highest state.

For health and Ānanda, God's grace matters most

Embodiments of Prema! If you, or the children yet to be born to you, are to be pure, keep thinking of God. Only if the parents are good will the children be born good. From ancient times, exemplary parents alone have nurtured our land of Bhārata.
