In plain words
Only God can decide which is just and which is unjust. You must not forget such a God, who knows all, pervades all and is all-powerful. Giving up the difference of ‘own’ and ‘other’, you must live with everyone in equality and joy, mixing freely, and win a good name. Each and every one must earn God's protection.
(Bhagavān created a gold ring set with an emerald and gave it to the student He had called onto the dais. Then, continuing His divine discourse, He said:)
The emerald is a symbol of well-being. I hope that you will foster such well-being, Prema for God and Bhakti, and receive God's grace. Only when you put away bad qualities can you come close to Swami. Make good use of the five elements. Bring the five senses under control. Then divinity will be in your home, at your side and with you as your companion, protecting you. Divinity is not won merely by singing bhajans and saying prayers. In keeping with that, you must offer your heart, too, to God. Join your Manas, your Buddhi and your citta to God. Then your Manas itself turns into God; your Buddhi itself turns into God; your citta turns into God. When He Himself is the five elements, where else could God be?! There is no way at all for Him to be apart. It is a great mistake to think that God exists apart from the five elements. Holding God to be your all, offer your senses to God. If you follow this easy path, the great Mokṣa will come to you.
What is Mokṣa? The waning of moha is itself Mokṣa. It is no use keeping moha within and sitting chanting, ‘Rām, Rām, Rām, Rām....’ Whatever work you do, do it to please God. Whoever you see, regard that person as a form of God. Regard as a form of God even the ‘beggar’ who comes to your door asking for alms. By the body he may be a ‘beggar’, but in the vision of the Ātma he too is a form of God.
