Passage 7

In plain words

Some people love to say ‘Nārāyaṇa’. When it comes to ‘Śiva’, they do not like it. This is very wrong. Īśvara and Nārāyaṇa, the two together, are one. We worship one divinity under many names. Those who recognise this oneness and worship will surely find peace of mind. If we hate one form and love another, our wish will not be fulfilled. This is not good. Not only the youth but everyone must recognise this Satya and follow it. It is divinity itself that is protecting the world. The Name of God is far more powerful than an ‘atom bomb’. It punishes the bad and nourishes the good. So if we go on worshipping divinity, the world will surely be protected. We are performing this yajña for the welfare of the world. These mantras hold an element of very great importance. The Ati Rudra Mahā Yajña nourishes the holy principle, punishes wickedness and brings about the welfare of the world. Anyone can perform it.

A youth leader who is an example

For this yajña many people came forward saying, ‘We will give so much rice,’ or ‘We will give some provisions,’ or ‘We will give fruit,’ or ‘We will give vegetables.’ But our Vinay Kumar took nothing from anyone. This yajña involves a great deal of expense. Even so, he took nothing from anyone; all by himself, alone, he went about everywhere in person and gathered everything. So such Seva Dal leaders must come forth in every state. Vinay Kumar is doing very great service. I Myself have praised him greatly. Even when someone came forward offering to give something, ‘No, no. I have Sai. Sai alone is my help,’ he kept saying. He has been married ten years. Husband and wife, both of them, are on the spiritual path. ‘Well, My dear, you are now performing a yajña. Do you want a son?’ When I asked this, they said, ‘We do not want one, Swami.’ When I asked, ‘Then what do you want?’ they said, ‘We want only You.’ I have never heard such words from any couple. With great Prema and a good heart he is doing very good works, Vinay Kumar. His father was a Commissioner of Income Tax.
