In plain words
Students! The President of our Bhārata has taught you some very important things. If you truly put them into practice, you can rise to a very high state. Merely by taking on human form you do not earn the name ‘human beings’. Only he who has human qualities is a true human being. If we nurture these five life-breaths, we ourselves become embodiments of the Paramātma. Satya, Dharma, Śānti, Prema and Ahiṃsā have sprung from God Himself. We must develop these five in children from their very childhood. If we make Satya our foundation, we can achieve any undertaking, however mighty.
Learning not put into practice is mere ignorance!
‘The one Ātma is the inner Ātma of all beings.’ Names and forms appear different, but what dwells in all is the one Ātma! However many troubles come to you, however many losses befall you, face them all with self-confidence. Whatever happens, think, ‘This is simply the fruit of my own karma.’ Whoever you see, think, ‘They are my own reflection.’ God is beyond the guṇas, free from the bonds of karma. To attain such Divinity, sacrifice is what matters above all. ‘Not by action, not by offspring, not by wealth; by sacrifice alone have some attained immortality.’ You must be ready to sacrifice anything at all.
Embodiments of Prema! It is already late. I do not wish to trouble you by speaking any longer. Above all, keep these five human values in mind and go on putting them into practice in daily life. Merely by reading about human values, merely by writing about them, you do not come to understand them. Practice is what matters most. Learning not put into practice is ignorance; it is not true learning. So, whichever they may be, put at least one or two of them into practice. Only then will you become blessed, become meritorious, and become those who have followed the right path.
