In plain words
If all these worries are to go, develop Prema for God. That is the divine medicine for every worry. Whatever kind of worry there is at home, it is cured by remembering the Name of God. God is present wherever you look. The five elements themselves are forms of the Paramātma. The body is a water bubble. The mind is a mad monkey. So you must follow neither the body nor the mind. You must follow the Buddhi. You must win a citta that is pure and unwavering. All the sādhana we do is meant for purity of the citta! Desire, anger, greed, delusion, pride and envy come to us from the outer world; they have not sprung from within us. Satya, Dharma, Śānti, Prema and Ahiṃsā are within us. We must make them spring forth.
Today, wherever you look, violence! Violence! For money, people commit so many kinds of violence. Money comes and goes. Many, many kings amassed crores. But could any king at all take even a naya paisa with him? No. Before he died, the emperor Alexander called his ministers and asked them to wrap his body in a white cloth, with only the hands set outside, and to carry it in procession through every street. His purpose was to give the people the message that however much wealth a man earns, at the very end he must go with empty hands. However much we earn, it is all for a passing satisfaction! Prema alone gives Ānanda that is true and eternal! It is not enough to be full of Prema only while you are here; wherever you go, you must live with Prema. Be here, or be in America: Prema does not change in the least. Prema is bound up with oneness. Develop such Prema. Love even the one who hates you. When you see him, greet him with folded hands: ‘Brother, how are you?’
