In plain words
And he too: ‘Brother! How are you?’ he will greet you. All are brothers and sisters! God alone is the Father of all. ‘You are all parts of Me! It is not that I am one and you are another,’ said Kṛṣṇa. You must believe in this oneness. God is in every human being as the Dweller in the heart, the Inner Ruler. Every act you do, think of it this way: ‘I am offering it to the God who is in my heart.’ Whether joy comes or hardship, believe: ‘This is for my good.’ When someone has malaria fever, they are given bitter ‘quinine mixture’. In the same way, recognise that the hardships you go through are for your own good. To know the nature of God, you need not go off anywhere. It is enough to look into our own heart and share our Prema; the nature of God becomes easy for us to understand. It is by the bond of Prema that all are bound. It is through Prema that all become one. So wherever you go, stay united. Above all, if ten young people come together, they can achieve anything at all. ‘When the whole village is one, the whole field is one swathe,’ they say. Prayer to God, the Name of God and Prema for God: these three are what we chiefly need. When we take these as our support, we can achieve anything at all.
When I went to Madras the other day, even those who were atheists turned into believers. ‘All this time we did not believe that God exists. But now, after seeing Swami, we believe,’ they said. Karuṇānidhi said, ‘I am offering my heart to Swami.’
Whatever heart You gave me, O Lord, that same heart I offer back to You, O glorious One; what else, truly, could I bring for Your worship? I fold my hands to You: do accept it.
God is not separate from you. God and you are one, one, one! There is a difference in forms and names, but God is One! One! One!
