We must enter on this effort with unshakeable resolve. You must not ask anyone at all for even a naya paisa. I am there for you. Whatever you need, ask Me; I will supply it. The ocean alone is the support of all the rivers that flow. In the same way, whatever service you do, for whoever it may be, I alone am your support in all of it. So do not hold back in the least. Do not be the least afraid to ask. I will surely provide everything. So all of you be ready. Women and men both must take part in it.
Everyone being happy is Swami's happiness
Yesterday the people of Bombay came. They are very wealthy. “We will set up Swami's flagstaff by the sea. It will be many hundreds of feet high. The light that shines out from it must be seen by all. We are setting it up under the name ‘Sairam’,” they said. It will cost some crores. “When it is finished, we will come and have Swami's darśan,” they said. The people of Bombay too are doing a great deal. They are doing everything well, but the city of Bombay alone they keep very dirty. First root out that ‘pollution’. Attempts were made before to do this work. But it did not prove possible. Because at high tide the city lies below the level of the sea. Water flows only downward; it does not go up. Unless they pump out that ‘drainage’ water, the city cannot be set right as it should be. They can do this work. I told them firmly, ‘You do that work, and I will come.’ Together they can do it. They all have that determination too. All of Bhārata must be beautiful, joyful, at ease and happy. ‘May all the worlds be happy.’ Everyone being happy is Swami's happiness. Swami needs no happiness of His own. The happiness of all of you is My happiness. Your joy is My joy. So whatever service you do, do it for your joy.
