In plain words

Human values are our five prāṇas

Today the most important thing of all is water. Water is the very support of life. You can live four days without food, but without water you cannot live even four minutes. From now on the rains will come in plenty. No one will lack anything. I have come here precisely to set all this right. Forgiving your mistakes and wrongs, I will surely give you joy. All of you must hold Prema, united as one. The five prāṇas are not prāṇa, apāna, vyāna, udāna and samāna. Our five prāṇas are Satya, Dharma, Śānti, Prema and Ahiṃsā. Where there is Satya, Dharma is born of itself. From Dharma comes Śānti. From Śānti, Prema arises. The first is Satya; the last is Prema. So when Satya and Prema both come together, everything is achieved. Very soon the whole world will become one. Children must make the right effort for oneness of this kind. Children have good strength of the senses. All three strengths, of body, mind and spirit, are secure in them. Put them to good use. Do not defile your senses. Only then will you have done the world a great service. It is not enough to go to some temple, whitewash it, come back and say we have done service. Every house too must be spotless. If it is clean, we can go into anyone's house.

I used to go to the Mālas' houses too

In Puttaparthi the houses of the Mālas stood apart. I used to go to their houses too. There was a man here called Māla Nāgappa. Nāgappa's son-in-law was Rāmulu. He had studied up to the third form; he was one who knew a little about Swami. One day he invited Me to their home for a meal. I told Subbamma about it. “Ayyayyo, Swami, are You going to the Mālas' houses? Don't go,” she said. I said I would go all the same. ‘You come with Me too,’ I told her. Subbamma's people were brahmins. “For Swami I will do anything,” she said, and came with Me. I was walking ahead.
