Passage 7

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

‘Unity’, ‘purity’, ‘divinity’

The mind keeps changing in many ways through food and pastimes. Mind is like a mad monkey; not an ordinary monkey but a mad monkey! In truth the mind belongs to ‘mankind’. So it should be full of ‘kindness’. But we are turning it into a ‘monkey-mind’. Man must live as man. Even if someone does us harm without our knowing it, we must never do harm to anyone. If he does it, let him do it, but we must not do him harm. This is my message! This body is now eighty-two years old. Until now I have not hurt anyone in the least even for a moment; I have not done harm to anyone; I have not wronged anyone; I have not been unjust to anyone; I have not spoken an untruth. Always Satya, Satya, Satya! To tell an untruth you have to go to a great deal of trouble. So always walk the path of Satya; you will surely have victory. Look on everyone with Prema. You say, ‘That is beyond us.’ But that is the easiest path. To love is very easy. It is hating that is very hard. If we love everyone, equality comes about in every way. Only then do all become one. Only when there is ‘unity’ does ‘purity’ come. Only when there is ‘purity’ does ‘divinity’ dawn. So if you want ‘divinity’, you need ‘unity’. If you want ‘unity’, you must forget your narrow individuality and all must become one. Humanness must step by step turn into divinity. All of you have that ‘divine power’. There is no human being without ‘divine power’. But you do not think about it. Your whole mind goes to the human side alone. The mind should not go to the human side; whatever the situation, it should stay on God alone.

All your relationships are of your own making!

Some people ask me, “Swami, how is ‘unity’ possible?”
