We must ‘fight’ for truth. That truth alone will stand. That truth alone will bring us victory. “Satya alone triumphs.” So go on speaking the truth. Walk the path of Satya. Walk the path of Prema. Prema is Satya, Satya is Prema. If you regard these two as your two eyes, you will win victory in everything. Without these two, if you merely worship God saying ‘Bhakti, Bhakti, Bhakti’, it is of no use.
Earn a good name, my dear ones!
You may have good intelligence; you may have ‘knowledge’. But if the power of discrimination is missing, it all becomes ‘zero’. So the power of discrimination is very necessary. Before you do any work, ask yourself, ‘Is it right or wrong?’ If your conscience feels ‘this is right’, then by all means ‘fight’ for it. Now the whole world is full of selfishness and self-interest. Selfishness and self-interest always end in defeat! Follow the path of Satya and the path of Prema, and win victory in everything. All the students of the Sathya Sai College must lead an exemplary life. If you earn the name, ‘That Sathya Sai student is a good man’, that itself is my joy. You need give me nothing more than that. All of you, earn a good name. That is the great gift you have to give me. But not for my sake; earn a good name for yourselves, my dear ones! If all of you live in harmony and keep your thoughts on God, purity will grow in you. Then Swami will surely come to wherever you are and give you darśan. I am yours. All of you are mine! I have no sense of difference towards anyone. A sense of difference is very bad. In worldly matters we say ‘yours’ and ‘mine’ in some things. But within us there should be no differences at all. Wherever you may be, do not forget the Name of God in your mind. Rāma, Kṛṣṇa, Jesus, Allah...
