Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

From the time they wake until they go to sleep, they wrestle for coins! For a rupee, by underhand ways, they eat whatever filth comes their way! Even if others do not know, does not Īśvara know? They will reap the fruit they deserve!

The mind of man today is polluted by pride and by a craving for money that knows no limit; the Mādhava in him has been hidden from view. Until the day the craving for money in the world shrinks and the longing for God grows, these troubles cannot be avoided. Man must fill his mind with sweetness; he must conduct himself without going back on his word. Only then will the troubles of the world go, and peace and well-being come to all.

Embodiments of Prema! The whole world today revolves around money. From the student to those who sell vegetables: money, money, money! One cannot say that one person has less craving for money and another has more. Everyone in the world thinks that money alone is what matters. The trouble people take for money, no one takes for God. It is God alone who protects all. However much money he may have, man cannot live without God. But those who have recognised that God is what matters above all, that God is Satya and is eternal, and who long for God, are very few. That is why community bhajan was begun. When all sing the Name of God together, at least a few among them truly think of God.
