In plain words

When some difficulty comes, instead of remembering ‘Rāma, Kṛṣṇa’, people keep saying ‘Ayyo, ayyo!’ Once Pārvatī and Parameśvara were travelling through the sky. Below, a man was standing at the tip of a branch of a tree. The branch was about to be broken by the wind. Seeing it, Pārvatī: “Īśvara! In a few moments that branch may break and he may fall down and die. Have mercy and save him,” she prayed. “Since it was you who saw that he would fall, you yourself save him,” said Īśvara. They decided that if, as he fell, he cried ‘Ammā!’, Pārvatī would save him, and if he cried ‘Appā!’, Īśvara would save him. But as he fell he did not cry ‘Ammā!’, nor ‘Appā!’; he cried ‘Ayyo!’ So neither Mother nor Father came to save him. In this way many deaths are happening in the world today. At the last moment we must think of Mother or Father. The mother and father of this world are Pārvatī and Īśvara! So if we remember these two, no suffering of any kind will come to us. Why should we think of our mother? She carries the child nine months, gives birth to it, toils in many ways to protect it, and brings it up. Is there any fool who would not think of such a mother? The father places the boy with a guru, has him taught, and helps him to progress in many ways. Without learning and without gurus, can anyone become great? So every person must always remember his mother and father with gratitude. He who does not think of these two is truly a fool! Even if you remember no one else, you must remember your mother and father. But people today do not remember their mother and father. That is why they are left without protection.

The mother of this body is Easwaramma; the father is Pedda Venkama Raju. For a month now I have been seeing the forms of the two of them. Even now, as I was coming here, both of them came. Pedda Venkama Raju was wearing a ‘yellow’ dhoti. Easwaramma was wearing a ‘yellow’ sari. For the two of them are now in Vaikuṇṭha.
