Passage 11

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

It is something everyone can say easily. Go to any old woman and ask, “What are you doing, grandmother?”, and she will say, “What should I do, my son? My tongue cannot get round reciting mantras. So I think of the Name of Rāma, ‘Rāma, Rāma, Rāma’.” In Bhārata there is no one to whom the Name of Rāma is unknown; no village is to be found without a temple of Rāma. Even if they could not build a temple, they will have put up two sheets for a roof and placed an image of Rāma there. In this way, for thousands of years, the Name of Rāma has won great renown in Bhārata. Now, of late, even in Russia people are remembering the Name of Rāma. The Name of Rāma is spreading all over the world. Of all names, the Name of Rāma is the chief. So, every one of you, whatever work you do, do it remembering the Name of Rāma. Before you leave your home, or when you go to college, always keep remembering the Name of Rāma. Even your breathing in and breathing out must be joined with the Name of Rāma.
