In plain words
When your enemy comes face to face with you, do not turn your face away; bow to him too. That salutation reaches God. Greet him with love: ‘Hello!’ He too will give up his hatred and become your friend.
The Name of God is the means of reaching God
The monkey heroes who had set out in search of Sītā reached the shore of the sea. To reach the city of Laṅkā they had to cross a hundred yojanas. Aṅgada gathered all the monkeys and tried to learn how great the strength of each one was. One said he could leap forty yojanas. Another said he could leap fifty. Yet another said he could leap sixty. But Hanumān said, “If I have Rāma's grace, I can leap any number of yojanas.” Hanumān could speak so because he had recognised the principle of fullness and had perfect faith. What is needed to reach God is not japa, tapas, yajñas, yāgas or yogas. Everyone keeps on doing japa and tapas. But what are they achieving? These are all only outward, worldly acts. The Name of God is the means of reaching God. However many sādhanas we do, if the Name of God is not in our heart, all of it goes to waste. With the Name of God we can achieve everything. That is why I keep telling you now and then, “Without bhajan there is no happiness, no Śānti.” The Name of God alone can achieve all things. That is why Hanumān was able to cross the ocean remembering the Name of Rāma.
Trust the principle of the Ātma, not names and forms
What fills this whole world is the principle of Rāma. No one is able to recognise this subtle principle. Everyone does only outward, physical, worldly practices.
