In plain words
From Satya alone Dharma arises. Since “there is no Dharma higher than Satya”, the oneness of Satya and Dharma is Sathyanarayana. He incarnated to teach these two.
Sathyanarayana Raju is no ordinary person. But man takes Him for an ordinary person. Whatever Sathyanarayana says is true, true, true! Satya means making known what is in one's heart; not only making it known, but doing it and showing it. But people do not pay proper heed to the words Swami speaks. Sometimes they think, ‘Swami is saying something just for fun.’ No, no; whether said in fun, said with a smile, said in whatever way, it is true, true, true! But even those who are close to Swami do not rightly recognise this truth, and keep brushing aside the words spoken. But in days to come, its result will surely be known. Only people who cannot see the future go on taking Swami's words as untrue and as fun. But in the future, the truth of these words will be seen plainly. Though He is seen before their eyes, speaking, and doing everything before their very eyes, no one rightly recognises Swami's words or what Swami is. Thinking He told some joke, they brush it aside. It is nearly 83 years since this body was born. To this day I have not forgotten a single thing. But at times it looks to you as if I have forgotten. “Swami has forgotten!” they say. But forgetting never arises in Me. “Not to be called knowing or forgetting, ceaseless, through waking, dream and deep sleep, without any difference, always and again and again, the saving word the jīvātma recites (So'ham): that is the principle of Sathya Sai.” To mistake such a truth, which is beyond knowing and forgetting, is man's weakness.
