In plain words

So we need not go abroad. The good fortune of the people of Bhārata cannot be described as this or that. Born in such a blessed land as Bhārata, and taking the name of people of Bhārata, what use is it to neglect the culture of Bhārata out of a craze for foreign lands? First of all we must build up self-confidence. We must nourish moral, righteous and spiritual values. But today moral values have declined. A man without moral values has to undergo many sufferings in his life. The good fortune that is in Bhārata is not to be had for us in any other country either. So many people pray to Me to come to their own countries. They say they will bring a special plane. But I want no plane. My joy is right here, in India itself. I have no need of those planes and those comforts. ‘I want only devotion!’

“Skilled in doing good to the one who does harm, without reckoning the wrong: Sai”

I have no haters at all. No one is an enemy to Me. All are dear to Me! I love everyone. But you do not understand that Prema rightly. Some feel, ‘I have not received that Prema.’ They even build up hatred, thinking, ‘Swami has not given me what I asked for.’ But if they get everything they ask for, will they be the better for it? No, they will be ruined. For that very reason I lay down fitting rules for the children and give them good training. Look at our college: everyone comes to Swami with great love, calling ‘Swami, Swami, Swami’. When the time comes to leave Swami, they shed streams of tears. If you look outside, are the colleges truly colleges? Those students do not treat even their own mothers and fathers with respect. Mother and father are embodiments of God. ‘Mātṛdevo bhava, pitṛdevo bhava’: mother is none other than God! Father is none other than God! A friend is none other than God! All who are in this world are embodiments of God! All are forms of God! Not knowing this truth, we look on one as a friend and another as an enemy. If we look on anyone with hatred, saying, “This fellow is my opponent, this fellow is my enemy, this fellow is the one who hurt me,” we see nothing but hatred in him.
