In plain words
Just as this is true, the dharmas of the highest truth in the world are likewise eternal. This secret was discovered by the ṛṣis. Some might think: even though these dharmas the ṛṣis discovered may seem to have no end, surely there must be one — mustn't there? Creation, the Veda's own doctrine holds, is without beginning or end. The universe's total energy, in its aggregate transformation, always remains perfectly stable, neither increasing nor decreasing, remaining exactly as it is. Creation and the Creator are like two parallel lines: both being beginningless and endless, they proceed at an unvarying distance from one another. God is eternally active; his power is unmanifest.
The highest truth of the Bharatiyas is exceedingly vast in its scope. It has soared to the loftiest reach of the sky and ranges freely there. This truth was already proclaimed before the historical age began. It has taken many blows upon it. Against every one of those blows it has held firm, and to this very day it stands alive and unshaken — proof of its own innate strength. From time to time, Judaism, Christianity, Zoroastrianism and other religions' own truths tried to merge themselves into it; yet though they made the attempt, this ever-victorious Bharatiya stream of highest truth, without breaking from its own native soil, instead taught those very religions the correct meaning of their own truth, proclaimed the oneness underlying all of them, and demonstrated their equal standing.
Every faith in the land came to a standstill beside this Bharatiya stream of highest truth, like pools beside a river. Within Bharat too, countless religious sects sprang up one after another like mushrooms. They tried to shake this Vedically-founded Bharatiya religion of the highest truth to its very roots and topple it. Yet just as, at the time of a cataclysmic earthquake, the ocean's shore-waters draw back for a while, only to surge forward again afterward with a thousand times greater force than before and submerge the shore altogether — just so this Bharatiya stream of highest truth, after that turbulence had to some degree
