'Obeisance to the enemy-conquering Arhats, obeisance to the Siddhas! Obeisance to the Ācāryas, obeisance to the Upādhyāyas! Obeisance to all the monks (Sādhus) in the world' — these are the Jains' own mantras.

Salutations to the great heroes who conquer enemies such as desire, to the Siddhas, to the Ācāryas, to the Upādhyāyas, and to all the monks there are in the world — these fivefold salutations bring about the removal of sin.
