What the Veda reveals is not a terrible mass of harsh rules and restrictions. It makes known that there is one Lord over all the rules, and that it is by His command that the five elements each do their own work. There is no worship other than serving such a Lord. One must love Him and remember Him as the one Beloved, dearer than everything in this world and the next; that is the right “Vidyā”.
